Kurdistan Regional Government denies accusations of involvement in the protests in Iran

Spokesman of the Kurdistan Regional Government Sven Dzei denied on Saturday the Iranian accusations about the involvement of the Kurdistan Region in the protests in Iran.

“The publication of the Iranian Tasnim website by Mohsen Rezai, the Secretary of the Expediency Council in Iran, is a false accusation against the Kurdistan region that the Iranian demonstrations are being run from Erbil,” Dzei said in a statement on Tuesday, adding “we reject this fabricated false accusation that is far from the truth as “the Kurdistan region has proved that it is always the factor of security and stability in the region, has not and will not be allowed to cause chaos and instability in neighboring countries.”

He explained that “the Kurdistan region always wants with the neighboring countries and the region and the world to have friendly relations based on respect for common interests,” pointing out that “such statements do not provide any service to the neighbor and the relations existing between the Kurdistan region and the Islamic Republic.”

The Secretary of Iran’s Expediency Council, Major General Mohsen Rezai, said that the head of the CIA Bureau in Erbil, the head of Saddam’s son’s office, as well as a representative of Saudi Arabia, the Barzani clan and the terrorist Khaliq contenders planned the latest events in Iran.
