Kuwait denies 25th Arab Summit to conclude tonight

KUWAIT: The Kuwaiti Foreign Under-Secretary, Khaled Al-Jarallah, has categorically denied press reports claiming he announced that the two-day 25th Arab Summit, which began earlier today, would conclude tonight. “I categorically deny reports in the press and social media attributed to me that the 25th Arab Summit in Kuwait will conclude tonight,” Al-Jarallah asserted in a statement to KUNA. This statement “is not true,” said Al-Jarallah, and affirmed that the programme of the summit was not changed. The Arab leaders are due to hold a closed-door session tomorrow morning to approve draft resolutions, then a public session will be held to announce the Kuwait Declaration. Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, will then give a joint news conference with Arab League Secretary-General, Nabil Al-Araby.
