Mohamed bin Zayed offers condolences to family of martyr Tareq Al Shehi

AL KHAIMAH: Accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah, His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, today visited the family residence of the martyr First Lieutenant Tareq Mohammed Ahmed Al Shehi in Sha’am district in Ras Al Khaimah and extended his heart-felt condolences to the family members.

Sheikh Mohamed said the UAE. under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has a long standing principle of extending the helping hands to the brothers.

“We are continuing that approach, relying on our principles, clear stands and deep belief that security and stability of any GCC country is of similar importance to all of us,” he said.

Sheikh Mohamed added by saying: “The challenges and risks will never dissuade us from taking our nationalistic duty towards our brothers in maintaining security and stability and confronting chaos and terror mongers.” He also lauded merits and sacrifices of the Martyr Tareq for the sake of his country, duty and honour. May Almighty Allah bestow his mercy on him and rest his soul in eternal peace.

“We are sad at the loss of one of this nation’s sons, yet very proud of his heroic sacrifices for his country. From Silaa to Sha’am, we are one family,” Sheikh Mohamed said.

“The UAE has lost a loyal young man who died in the line of duty while carrying the banner of the UAE and its clear message of standing by the brothers and friends in confronting acts of sabotage and terrorism in all its forms.” Sheikh Mohamed offered condolences to Tareq Al Shehi’s mother and lauded his heroic sacrifices.

“Tareq is one of us. We are all sons of (the late Sheikh) Zayed. Your pain is our pain. We ask Allah the almighty to grant us patience and fortitude,” he added.

The mother of martyr Tareq Al Shehi thanked Sheikh Mohamed and the country’s leadership for the strong support shown.

“We are very proud of our son Tareq and very proud of our leadership,” she said.

Sheikh Mohamed also extended his condolences to the leadership and people of the Kingdom of Bahrain who lost two of its citizens while performing their duty of protecting their country’s security and stability.

Sheikh Mohamed was accompanied by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras al-Khaimah, H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Dhiyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court.
