Mohamed bin Zayed receives Emirates Foundation’s private sector partners

ABU DHABI, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, today received a delegation representing private sector supporters for the Emirates Foundation, an independent organisation set up by the Government of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to facilitate public-private funded initiatives to improve the welfare of youth across the UAE.

During the meeting at Qasr Al Bahr Majlis, the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince underlined the role played by the private sector in driving the scientific and social initiatives of the Foundation to empower youth and equip them with all necessary tools to meet the needs of various segments of the Emirati society.

“Your significant contributions confirm your sense of national responsibility and your realisation of your obligations towards the homeland,” H.H. Sheikh Mohamed told the private sector representatives, underscoring the importance of engaging civil societies in the developmental drive across the country.

“The private sector’s contributions play a significant role in ensuring the success of the Emirates Foundation and in achieving its objectives for serving the society,” he added.

“Public-private partnership ensures sustainability of the social development drive in the UAE,” SheikhMohamed affirmed.

The private sector delegation expressed pride in supporting the goals of the Emirates Foundation which seeks to empower youth and engage them in the state’s developmental efforts. They re-affirmed their commitment to meet their obligations towards the country across all fields.

Attending the meeting at Qasr Al Bahr Majlis were H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region; H.H. Suroor bin Mohammed Al Nahyan; H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation; H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs; H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court; H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Department of Transport, and a numbe of senior officials and UAE citizens.

The private sector delegation grouped representatives from a number of companies and foundations, including OXI, Shell, Exxon, ADNOC, Dolphin Energy, Borealis, J.P. Morgan, GS Energy, Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation, Julphar, du, and Google.
