Nahyan bin Mubarak opens annual Global Education and Skills Forum

ABU DHABI: Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, inaugurated at Emirates Palace the annual Global Education and Skills Forum (GESF), which will move to Dubai on Sunday.

The event is organised by the Varkey GEMS Foundation. The GESF gathers former presidents, a number of prime ministers, 24 Ministers of Higher Education from Arab and foreign countries as well as 500 experts and educationists.

Sheikh Nahyan and form British Prime Minister Tony Blair delivered two speeches at the conference, which promotes the support of private sector to education so that it reaches 75 million children deprived from schools worldwide.
