National Ambulance at the ready across Northern Emirates for New Year’s Eve

ABU DHABI, National Ambulance is set to support the Northern Emirates as it welcomes in the new year. Ambulance crews from the emergency medical provider will be stationed at vital locations across the five emirates to ensure public safety. National Ambulance will also be supporting the Ras Al Khaimah’s firework display Guinness World Record attempts.

The preparedness for New Year’s Eve involves close coordination with strategic emergency partners, redistribution of emergency resources and an increased presence in vital locations and areas to ensure public safety and readiness to deal with potential emergency incidents across the five Emirates.

14 emergency vehicles and a team of 35 emergency personal will be in attendance at Ras Al Khaimah’s Al Marjan Island to support the New Year Eve’s celebrations and accompanying activities. The firework show will feature two record-breaking bids: the Most Remote Operated Multirotors/Drones Launching Fireworks Simultaneously and the Highest Altitude Multirotor/Drone Firework Display.

On this occasion, Ahmed Al Hajeri, CEO of National Ambulance, said, “It’s a great honour to be supporting Ras Al Khaimah’s New Year’s celebrations, an event that showcases the UAE to the world. We are here to support the success of this event and ensure the public can share it in safely. We do urge the public to continue to remain vigilant during the celebrations and observe COVID-19 precautionary measures, such as mask wearing, social distancing and maintaining hand hygiene.”

National Ambulance provides urgent pre-hospital care in the Northern Emirates which can be requested through the dedicated 998 emergency ambulance number and NA998 mobile application. Its primary task is to work on the frontline to provide high standards of pre-hospital emergency medical services for serious illness and injuries to citizens, residents and visitors across the Emirates of Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Qaiwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. Qualified ambulance crews combined with an advanced fleet and medical technologies are able to provide the appropriate care for patients in medical emergencies, trauma and public health crisis.
