National Breast Cancer Campaign launched

DUBAI: The National Breast Cancer Campaign was launched today by the Ministry of Health at Dubai Women’s Association under the patronage of H.H Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum, wife of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Assistant Undersecretary and Director of Dubai Medical District Nasser Khalifa Al Budoor said the campaign provides fully equipped vehicles which will visit health centers, the Global Village as well as public institutions to provide free tests to women.

He lauded the support extended to the campaign by H.H Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairperson of … of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.

This year’s campaign enhances national efforts to control breast cancer and highlights the importance of early screenings and consultations of specialized doctors, he noted.

The campaign organizes training programs to visitors of Dubai Women’s Association, Al Muhaisna Health Centre, Hatta Women’s Association, Ministry of Social Affairs, Dubai Media Corporation, Princess Haya Centers (Al Mizher), Al Ittihad Health Centre, Al Quoz Health Centre and Dubai Police Head Quarters.

The official also called all the women associations as well as university and school students to join the campaign which runs for 4 weeks.
