Nechirvan Barzani: Relations Between Erbil And Baghdad Are Good And Efforts Are Continuing To Establish Military Cooperation

President of the Kurdistan Region said “The relations between Erbil and Baghdad, especially with Adel Abdul Mahdi, Prime Minister in a good level,” adding that “the efforts to establish military cooperation between the two sides continue to stabilize the areas liberated from the control of Daesh” .

A statement issued by the presidency of the Kurdistan region said: “Nigerian Barzani met this evening with Martin JA�ger, Minister of State for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany, and his accompanying delegation included Serel Non Ambassador of Germany in Iraq and Barbara Wolf, German Consul General in Erbil, where the Minister of State of German confirmed during the meeting on the friendly relations between Germany and the Kurdistan region, and highly assessed the progress in the Kurdistan region and its efforts to overcome the crisis and the reception of a large number of displaced and refugees who fled from the oppression of terrorism, and expressed his country’s readiness to continue joint work and help Iraq to stabilize the stability in liberated areas and the return of displaced persons to their homes. “

For his part, the President of the Kurdistan region said that the Kurdistan region looks with appreciation to the assistance provided by the coalition countries and Germany, which had a known role from both the military and humanitarian aspects to the Kurdistan region.

He pointed out that the relations between Erbil and Baghdad, especially with Adel Abdul Mahdi, are at a good level, and that the efforts to establish military cooperation between the two sides continue with the aim of stabilizing the liberated areas, saw the need for cooperation of the international coalition in this area.
