Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala Al-Saeed received Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation during his visit to the area dedicated to the side events and exhibits at the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, held in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
During the meeting, Planning Minister was keen to accompany the UAE Foreign Minister on an inspection tour of the Egyptian pavilion, and to review the art pieces displayed in the pavilion and their relationship to climate issues and their expression of Egyptian culture.
She affirmed her appreciation for the visit of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed to the Egyptian pavilion, which comes within the framework of consolidating the distinguished relations between Egypt and the Emirates, which will host the Cop28 conference next year.
The minister noted that the visit also reflects the keenness of the United Arab Emirates to support Egypt’s hosting of the current session of the Conference of Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
