President Assures US Ambassador The importance Of Easing Tension, Adopting Constructive Dialogue And Enhancing Joint Security Cooperation

BAGHDAD President of the Republic Barham Saleh stressed the need to ease tensions, adopt constructive dialogue and enhance joint security cooperation.

A presidential statement said Saleh received in Baghdad on Sunday the US ambassador to Iraq, Matthew Tueller.

During the meeting, they discussed ways of enhancing relations between the two friendly countries and developing prospects of cooperation in all fields to serve the common interests.

They also reviewed the latest political developments on the regional and international arenas, stressing the need to ease tensions, adopt constructive dialogue and enhance joint security cooperation to end crises in the region and contribute to the consolidation of international peace and security.
