President El-Sisi Receives UAE’s Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received today UAE’s Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, in the presence of Minister of Defense and Military Production, General Mohamed Zaki, along with Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Cairo Maryam Al Kaabi.

The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that President El-Sisi asked to have his greetings conveyed to his brother, President of the United Arab Emirates His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. His Excellency stressed the strong relations between Egypt and the UAE and the fact that they represent the stability of the Middle East and the entire Arab world.

On his part, the UAE’s Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces expressed his honor to meet the President, conveying to him the greetings and appreciation of his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed. He stressed the deep and historical relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples and the UAE’s keenness to strengthen strategic cooperation between the two countries at various levels, especially with regard to exchanging expertise in the military field and promoting joint efforts and intensive coordination with Egypt on various regional and international issues.

It was agreed during the meeting to continue promoting coordination and regular consultation between Egypt and the UAE with regard to military and security cooperation to complement the longstanding bilateral relations between the two countries in all fields and levels. These efforts aim to achieve the interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples in a manner that supports the bonds of Arab solidarity.
