President Ghani Holds Farewell Meeting With French, UAE Ambassadors

Kabul-President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani held separate farewell meetings with French and UAE ambassadors to Kabul here the other day, a Presidential statement reported.

According to the statement, in the meeting with UAE ambassador, the President thanked the country’s continued cooperation to Afghanistan in different spheres and conferred high stated medal of Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan to Yousif Saif Al-Ali for his dedication and efforts in bolstering ties between the two countries. Besides, thanking the President for his attention towards important issues in the country, the UAE ambassador whose tenure has come to an end, expressed satisfaction of his mission in Afghanistan. In other separate meeting, the President thanked French ambassador Jean-Michel Marlaud for his efforts in bolstering bilateral ties between the two countries, in particular French assistance to Afghanistan in the last one decade. Ambassador Marlaud also said that the bilateral ties between the two countries have seen much progress and his country is committed to durable cooperation with Afghanistan.
