President of Global Council for Tolerance and Peace attends Festival of Human Fraternity at Expo 2020

DUBAI, Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, has participated in the events of the Human Fraternity Festival organised d by the Ministry of Tolerance in collaboration with the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity to celebrate the International Day of Human Fraternity.

Al Jarwan emphasised that the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace is keen to commemorate the International Day of Human Fraternity on February 4th each year, as an occasion to mark the historic event that took place in Abu Dhabi, when the Human Fraternity Document was signed by Pope Francis, Head of the Catholic Church, and Dr. Ahmed Al Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al Azhar, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

He added that, “the document is the first Declaration of its sort in our contemporary world, which unites humanity, places them in true solidarity, lifts them out of injustice, contributes to their prosperity, and inspires them to work diligently and continuously for the future and present benefit of humanity.”
