PUK: All Legal Procedures To Elect President Of The Kurdistan Region Are Over

Sulaymaniyah An MP of the Patriotic Union Of Kurdistan (PUK) announced the end of all legal procedures for the election of the President of the Kurdistan region by Parliament.

Ziyad Jabbar, a member of the Kurdistan Parliament of the PUK bloc said in press statements that according to the legal procedures, the Kurdistan Parliament must set a date for holding a session to elect the president of the Kurdistan region during the next week, and most likely will be on Sunday or Monday, adding that all legal procedures for the election of the president of the Kurdistan region are over and the remain is only to set a date for holding the special session in Parliament, and according to the rules of procedure of the Parliament of Kurdistan, the Presidency must announce the date of the meeting 48 hours before the date of the meeting and inform all members of parliament.
