Qatar Charity Commences Distribution of Eid Clothing to Orphans Globally

Qatar Charity (QC) has started distributing Eid clothing to orphans sponsored by it in several countries around the globe, including Somalia, while it will distribute the Eid clothing in the coming days in other countries. The ‘Eid Clothing’ project aims to bring the joy of Eid Al-Fitr to the children and reduce the burden on their families.

In a statement, Qatar Charity said that this project comes within the framework of its ‘Ramadan: Leave Your Mark’ campaign and is expected to benefit more than 7,065 orphans sponsored by QC in many countries. The orphans will receive Eid clothes, worth more than QR 1.4 million.

Qatar Charity urges philanthropists in Qatar to take the advantage of the remaining days of Ramadan to support the ‘Eid Clothing’ project to bring joy to the orphans and reduce the burden on many families who cannot provide clothes for their children.

In a related context, the distribution of Eid clothing through Qatar Charity’s office in Somalia benefited 380 orphan, within the framework of the comprehensive care program for the orphans.

Director of Qatar Charity’s Somalia office Abdulfatah Adam, explained that the comprehensive care program provides multiple services to sponsored orphans, including monthly cash assistance, economic empowerment projects, social housing projects, seasonal projects, recreational and cultural programs, and others, pointing out that the Eid clothing project is part of the projects implemented by Qatar Charity to share the joy and pleasure of Eid with the orphans.

For their part, the children expressed their great joy with these gifts and thanked the benefactors in Qatar and Qatar Charity. Sirat Ishaq Abed said that she is very happy with these new clothes. Siham Musa Abdullah expressed her satisfaction with her dress and said that she has never had a dress more beautiful than this one. Yahya Hussein Raghi said that he will pray to Almighty Allah to make happy those who gave him the Eid clothing, indicating that when he grows up, he will buy Eid clothing for orphans and the poor.

The mothers of the orphans also expressed their delight with the Eid clothing project, thanking the benefactors in Qatar for giving the gifts to their children.
