Qatar Strongly Condemns Israeli Occupation Decision Authorizing Settlers’ Return to West Bank Homesh Outpost

The State of Qatar strongly condemned Israeli Defense Minister’s decision to start implementing a law cancelling disengagement from northern occupied West Bank settlements that authorizes settlers to return to evacuated Homesh outpost, as a flagrant violation of Palestinian people’s rights.

In a statement on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Qatar’s deep concern over Israeli occupation forces’ years-long de facto policy, aiming to strip Palestinian rights guaranteed by international law and undermine international efforts to implement the two-state solution. The statement called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities to compel Israel to stop its settlement policy in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Ministry reaffirmed Qatar’s firm position on the justice of the Palestinian cause, the legitimate rights of Palestinian people, and the establishment of their independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. (QNA)
