Russia plans to produce 32,000 drones annually by 2030

The Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov announced that his country plans to produce 18,000 drones annually by 2026 and about 32,000 by 2030.

The Russian Novosti Agency quoted Belousov as saying during a meeting on drones with Russian President Vladimir Putin: “We count on the Russian industrial sector by the end of 2026 to be able to reach the production of 18,000 drones per year, and this is without taking into account the drones.” Lightweight, weighing less than one kilogram, with a coverage level of domestic demand of about 52 percent, and by 2030 reaching a volume of 32,000 devices per year, with a coverage level of domestic demand of about 70 percent.

Belousov added, “The level of coverage of domestic demand for drones at the present time is more than 30 percent.

The Russian President had stressed that there are promising development capabilities in the field of drones in Russia, which should be one step ahead of its competitors, and the need to localize the development and production of advanced Russian technologies, indicating that the volume of investments in this industry will reach one trillion rubles in the future.
