The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of two Ukrainian drones over the southwestern part of the Crimean Peninsula and the thwarting of a Ukrainian attempt to carry out an attack at approximately 20:30 Moscow time.
A statement by the Russian Ministry of Defense said: “Ukrainian forces attempted to attack targets on Russian territory with drones. Russian air defense systems on duty destroyed two drones over the southwestern part of the Crimean Peninsula.”
This attempt comes less than 24 hours after a previous attempt at dawn on Sunday, when the Russian Defense Ministry announced that Russian air defense systems had destroyed 6 Ukrainian drones that attempted to carry out an attack off the western coast of the Crimean Peninsula.
