Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre participates in ‘Al Ain Book Festival 2022’

ABU DHABI, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre is participating in the activities of the 13th edition of the “Al Ain Book Festival 2022”, organised by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre – affiliated with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi.

The festival, held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, will run until 20th November at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain.

As part of its participation, the Centre pavilion displayed its publications collection and briefed the festival visitors about Al Jami library’s rarest books and manuscripts. It also showcased a model of the mosque and played several of its cultural series, broadcast through various media platforms via a wide screen. This, in turn, translates the mosque’s message and underscores its leading role in reviving the sciences and arts of the Islamic culture and is an extension of its role in building bridges of cross-cultural communication between cultures.

It also acquaints them with the diversity and richness of features of Islamic art and architecture throughout the mosque and its prominent role in extending bridges of cross-cultural communication between different world cultures and spreading the values of tolerance and human fraternity.

The Centre’s cultural tour specialists briefed various segments of society about the mosque’s message of tolerance and coexistence and its role in reviving the gains of Islamic culture and the richness and aesthetics of Islamic art and architecture. The Centre also distributed invitations to visitors offering them a unique opportunity to visit the mosque and enjoy an enriching experience.

The Centre, through its participation in this festival, aims to reach all society segments, brief them about the mosque’s diverse esthetic details of Islamic architecture, highlight its leading position as a prominent global destination – annually receiving about 6 million people worldwide – and the different activities that complement its cultural message that seeks to promote the values of peace, coexistence, and tolerance.
