SOMO: A New MoU Soon to Signed To Resume Supplying Crude Oil To Jordan

The Oil Marketing Company “SOMO” announced today, Friday, the imminent signing of a new memorandum of understanding between Iraq and Jordan, to resume supplying the Jordanian Petroleum Refinery with crude oil.

SOMO stated, in a statement to the official agency, that “the recent memorandum of understanding signed between the Ministry of Oil in the Republic of Iraq and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan includes supplying the Jordanian side with Kirkuk crude oil with an amount of (10,000) barrels per day, and it ended on 31/3 / 2023, and accordingly, the supply of crude oil to the Jordan Petroleum Refinery has been stopped.

It added, “At the request of the Jordanian side, the approval of the honorable Council of Ministers was obtained on 3/28/2023 to conclude a new memorandum of understanding between the Iraqi and Jordanian sides, and it will be signed soon, and then the processing of crude oil will resume to the Jordanian Petroleum Refinery after signing the supply contract.” ./End
