Tehran Hosts An Emergency Meeting Of The Palestine Committee Of The OIC Parliaments On Monday

BAGHDAD, IRAQ – The Iranian capital of Tehran will host an emergency meeting of the Palestine Committee of the Union of Parliaments of Islamic Countries on Monday.

The meeting, which is being held in the presence of the heads of the parliaments of Iran, Mali and Iraq, comes because of the recent events in Palestine and statements by the American president in recognition of al-Quds as the capital of the Zionist entity and his intention to move the US embassy to this city.

The president of the Iranian Shura Council, Ali Larijani, and his Iraqi and Mali counterparts will address the meeting of the Palestine Committee. “

US President Donald Trump announced on December 6 that Jerusalem would be officially recognized as the capital of Israel and Washington’s embassy in Tel Aviv would be transferred to the occupied Palestinian city.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held its emergency summit last Wednesday (December 13) in Istanbul, where leaders and delegates from 57 Islamic countries participated. Where the summit participants affirmed the official recognition of the state of Palestine with East Auds as its capital.
