The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed the importance of overcoming obstacles in order to meet the needs of citizens throughout the country.
The Presidency of the Republic stated in a statement, “The President of the Republic received the Minister of Electricity, Ali Ziyad Fadel, to discuss ways to raise the level of electric energy production and mechanisms for its distribution, and to increase the hours of supplying electricity during the summer season.”
The President of the Republic stressed the importance of “overcoming obstacles in order to meet the needs of citizens throughout the country.”
The President stressed “the need to work to strengthen the economic infrastructure, especially in the field of energy, by taking advantage of its various sources of production,” noting that “Iraq is blessed with excellent capabilities, skills and wealth through which it can rely on itself in the production of electricity, provided that those resources are exploited well.”
For his part, the Minister of Electricity affirmed the ministry’s determination to benefit from the experiences of developed countries in this field, to strengthen cooperation with them and to implement joint projects that achieve the aspirations of Iraqis for the permanent stability of electric power.
