Two drug dealers arrested in Irbid, Ma’an-PSD

Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) agents carried out two separate raids to arrest two drug dealers in Irbid and Ma’an governorates. In a statement on Wednesday, the media spokesperson for Public Security Directorate (PSD) said a drug dealer in northern Irbid governorate, who is wanted on multiple attempted murder, shooting and drugs counts, was raided and arrested in possession of quantities of drugs, 22 palm-sized sheets of hashish, 2.5 kg of synthetic cannabis (known locally as joker), and 3,000 small bags filled with “Joker powder”. In the second raid in southern Ma’an Governorate, a drug dealer and promoter, who is involved in criminal activities related to drug possession and promotion, was arrested and seized in possession of separate quantities of narcotic substances intended for sale. The AND personnel confiscated 4 palm-sized sheets of hashish, 1,000 narcotic pills, small hashish pieces, and a firearm. Two other people were arrested in this incident and investigation is underway into the case, the spokesperson said.
