UAE stocks gain AED4.7 bn Tuesday

ABU DHABI, UAE stock markets gained AED4.7 bn in market cap value today, with the general indices of Dubai Financial Market and Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange up 0.85 percent to 2,683 points and 0.47 percent to 5,139 points, respectively.

Amidst upbeat sentiments, 6,119 transactions were conducted worth AED570 million over 250 million shares, driven by a spree of selective purchases targeting blue chips by local and international companies.

Emaar continued its rising streak, closing high at AED4.92, followed by Arabtec at AED2.21, with Emaar Malls following suit at AED1.84 and Dubai Investments at AED1.28.

At ADX, Aldar edged up to AED1.83, with FAB jumping to AED15.10 after the leading bank’s general assembly approved AED8.00 billion in dividends, and ADCB ending up at AED9.69.
