Umm Al Qaiwain signs contract on strategic plan for transition to smart government

UMM AL QAIWAIN: The Umm Al Qaiwain government and Trianz Company from California have signed a contract whereby the company has agreed to study and develop a strategic plan to help convert Umm Al Qaiwain government to using a ‘smart government’ system and identify a roadmap for the implementation of the plan under the directives of H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, and the follow up by H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain, Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate. The contract was signed for the Government of Umm Al Qaiwain at the headquarters of the Emiri Diwan by Khalid Sultan Al Shamsi, Director-General of the Department of e-Government in Umm Al Qaiwain.

During the signing of the contract, under the guidance and efforts of H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla and the Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain, Khalid Al Shamsi praised the continuous support their Highness give to the department and their quest to improve the services provided by simplifying the services provided by government departments, agencies and institutions in Umm Al Qaiwain for citizens, residents and investors and their efforts to turn the emirate into an oasis of green economy Al Shamsi said that the contract was signed with Trianz company to be consistent with the strategic vision of the U.A.E. to develop government services in all areas based on the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and in line with the requirements of Smart Government, launched by Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to achieve the national agenda of the country over the next seven years.
