UN Security Council to discuss Iran’s situation today

NEW YORK, The United Nations Security Council today will hold a meeting to discuss the situation in Iran, according to the mission of Kazakhstan, which is currently holding the rotating presidency of the Council.

The US Ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, said earlier this week that her country was seeking emergency sessions to discuss the protests in Iran, both at the UN headquarters in New York and at the Human Rights Council in Geneva.
