Based on the GMW-B5000, the original full-metal take on the first-ever G-SHOCK, the new GMW-B5000MB features an array of detailed finishes that come together in a refined black design.

The GMW-B5000MB brings together individual components treated with honing finishes* and multiple polishings in a premium-quality, shock-resistant watch with a uniquely appealing look that makes the most of rich texture and feel.

The entire exterior of the timepiece is honed and treated with black ion plating to deliver matte black sophistication, and additional finishes are applied to individual details. The hairline finish on the raised areas on the side of the bezel and the sides of the band retains a metallic texture, while tempering the shine. The mirror finish, by contrast, adds glossy shine to the surface of the screws, buttons, and other details.

With this latest model, Casio adds a new finishing process, as well. After the initial black ion plating, the top surface of the bezel is polished again with a hairline finish to expose most of the stainless steel beneath, with its silver-colored gleam. The chic and seamless integration of the silvery hue of the stainless steel of the bezel and matte black of the body, complemented by multiple intricate finishes, results in a beautifully detailed, quality design with a one-of-a-kind, sophisticated look.

The functionality of the GMW-B5000MB is just as good as its design. The watch comes with both standard radio wave reception and Smartphone Link connectivity, which allows the owner to use the G-SHOCK Connected app to maintain precision timekeeping and easily manage alarms, world time, and other settings. e& reports consolidated net profit of AED 9.3 billion for FY2021, a 3.2 % increase y-o-y

ABU DHABI, Etisalat Group, now known as e&, today announced its consolidated financial results for the Full Year ending 31st December 2021.

Operational Highlights and Key Developments 2021 Increased foreign ownership limit in share capital from 20% to 49% Increased ownership stake in Maroc Telecom Group from 48.4% to 53.0% e& (Etisalat Group) was recognised by Brand Finance as the world’s strongest telecom brand, the first in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region to achieve this recognition ESG rating was upgraded from BBB to A by MSCI Global Index, reflecting continued efforts in sustainability Credit ratings by agencies S&P Global and Moody’s affirmed the Group’s high credit rating at AA-/Aa3 with a stable outlook Successfully completed a bonds issuance worth one billion Euros to refinance the maturing Euro bond tranche Consolidated revenues for e& (Etisalat Group) increased by 3.2% to AED 53.3 billion, while Consolidated Net Profit rose to AED 9.3 billion, also representing a 3.2% increase year on year. Consolidated EBITDA amounted to AED 26.7 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 1.0% and resulting in EBITDA margin of 50%.

During 2021, the Etisalat UAE subscriber base reached 12.7 million subscribers, while aggregated subscriber base reached 159 million, representing a year over year increase of 3.0%.

Board propose a dividend of AED 0.4 per share for H2 2021, representing a total dividend for FY2021 of AED 0.8 per share.

Government of Ras Al Khaimah offers AED 7 million in economic stimulus package in 2021

RAS AL KHAIMAH, The Government of Ras Al Khaimah has offered AED 7 million in economic stimulus package to business sectors in the emirate in to support the local economy and ensure business continuity during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the Ras Al Khaimah Department of Economic Development (RAK-DED).

This package was introduced in line with the ongoing efforts of the UAE Government to ease the financial burden on businesses in the emirate in time of the COVID-19 pandemic. The package forms part of Ras Al Khaimah’s continuous efforts to help the private-sector companies to ensure continuity of business in all sectors in times of COVID-19.

RAK-DED said the package, which included licences registered with RAK-DED and affected by the pandemic such as infrastructure projects and SMEs, was aligned with the strategy of Ras Al Khaimah Government to enhance the attractiveness and competitive advantages of the Emirate’s business sector.

RAK DED Director General Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Naqbi said the percentage of customised incentives and exemptions had reached 100 for event, exhibition and wedding management sectors and varied in other sectors depending on the magnitude and scale of impact and damage.

Exemptions, he added, reached 83 percent for businesses, 8 percent for infrastructure projects, 7 percent for pandemic affected establishments, 1 percent for holders of Alghad license, 0.36 for charities and 0.03 for people of determination.

He noted that stimulus packages launched by the UAE government and the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah had eased the impact and repercussions of the pandemic on the economic performance.

The integrated stimulus package has enabled the economic activities to see significant recovery in 2021 and lead to a 36 percent growth in new licences as compared with 2020.
