No to hatred in age of tolerance: General Authority of Islamic Affairs

ABU DHABI, The General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Awqaf has urged the forces of good, peace and those who respect the noble human values to take solidarity and tolerance as alternative values to the culture of hatred, incitement and obsolete stereotype concepts about the other in the world of cultural coexistence.

”Such a world wants to bury hatred and open up to integration of races, cultures, values and civilisations for the sake of prosperity, exchange of giving, stability and welfare of all countries and peoples,” said the authority in a statement following the appalling crime against the peacefully worshippers in New Zealand today.

”At the time when all the world political and religious leaders and humanitarian organisations agreed to criminalise hatred, racism and terrorism, New Zealand and the world were shocked by a heinous hatred crime, which killed dozens of innocent lives while praying peacefully at two mosques in New Zealand’s city of Christchurch,” the statement added.

”May Allah bless the souls of the martyrs and grant solace to their families and the government of New Zealand and its peace-loving people in this ordeal.”
